Our Cable, Wisconsin bike repair shop is small, focusing on service and personal attention. Mike Choate is the owner & service provider. Mike makes time to listen carefully to your concerns. He wants to get to know you as a rider, client and neighbor. By understanding your riding style & goals, he can provide service and fit evaluation best suited to your needs. He knows how important it is to be back in the saddle and on the roads or bike trails quickly, so for most bike service needs, he can provide 24-hour turnaround. We pride ourselves on reasonable & competitive prices. Mike strives to provide the most cost-effective bike repairs while not sacrificing safety or performance.

Mike is a seasoned bike technician with over 40 years of experience. Over the years, he has dealt with most every type of bike and service issue. Furthermore, he has stayed in tune with bike industry changes & technology advances. He feels comfortable & confident working on any & all types of bikes, from kids bikes to high end racing machines. No matter whether your preference is for the skinny tire road bikes or the wider tires of mountain & fat bikes, Mike can take care of your ride. With his extensive experience, as both a road & mountain racer, Mike brings a competitor’s sensibility to his practice.

We are willing to extend hours to meet your needs. Mike responds to service emergencies & is available by phone or text (773) 991-5944, 7 days/week from 7 am – 7 pm.

Located on CAMBA Trail

We are ~ 2 miles from town center.
We are on Birkie Skate Trail ~ 500 meters from the Start & on the CAMBA Sleigh Trail.
We are the closest shop to the Birkie Start, on the CAMBA & Birkie trails. Ski or bike in/out. If you are on the trail & experience a mechanical difficulty, just stop in.

From Cable, WI on County M. 2 miles from Cable Town Center. Follow signs to American Birkebeiner Trailhead. Right on Randysek Rd at Brickhouse Café. Cross Namakagon River. Left on McNaught Rd. Right at START LINE INN banner.
Our driveway is just before the American Birkebeiner Trailhead totems that flank the road.
On CAMBA & Birkie Trails. Ski in/out. Bike in/out.

Every bike is unique & thus service charges may vary depending on complexity of the project. Before any service commences, Mike will discuss the options with you so there are no surprises. We welcome feedback & strive to provide service that meets your needs & budget.
Most of the components purchased at our shop are installed free of charge.
TUNE UPS start at $65. This includes:
- Drivetrain & frame cleaning
- Setting tolerances & proper adjustments of components
