“My four night stay at Elizabeth & Mike’s was the most fun, relaxing, delicious, exhausting and rejuvenating I’ve had in a very long time. The cabin is lovely…comfortable, quaint, nicely decorated and detailed…I felt very much at home walking in. Elizabeth had many wonderful suggestions about local things to do —I mountain-biked (for the first time) there, on a really great “easy” (but challenging, at least for me) course I’d never have found without her, hiked a section of the most beautiful North Country Trail (that I didn’t even know existed until she told me about it—it’s 4000 miles long!!) and am already yearning to go back to enjoy the winter “silent sports”, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and even winter biking (who knew??). And speaking of bikes, Mike’s knowledge, expertise (and bike repair shop, on premises), and enthusiasm for riding added tons to the experience (me: “fat tire?? What’s that?” Mike: (most kindly and gently): “ahhh, you have much to learn, grasshopper.” (paraphrase) ). And oh yeah, there’s canoeing, kayaking and fishing, too. The local restaurants (Sawmill Inn, Tillie’s Pies, Rivers’ Restaurant), also recommended by Elizabeth, we’re also stellar…yum!! All in an EXTREMELY beautiful part of the world. Needless to say, I’ll be back, already having a hard time waiting to return.”
